Extremist Groups

In this area of reporting we assess any dialogue that an individual has had relating to banned, proscribed or extremist groups.

These are groups that have been specifically banned under UK law and any dialogue identified here must be reviewed in context.

Swearing and Profanity

Swearing is by its nature a socially offensive use of language.

When spoken it can be applied in context.  When written down (especially online), it can become difficult to manage and its audience can no longer be controlled or assessed.

Highly Negative Sentiment

We assess material which is identified as being highly negative. This may be general post or it may be directed towards a subject or issue and the context of which contains highly negative sentiment.

Hate Speech

Hate material is any online content that is motivated by hostility towards a persons disability, race, religion, sexual orientation or transgender identify. Such content may include abusive, threatening or harassing language or imagery.

Violent Images

Images that contain graphic violence, involve medical procedures, injuries or self-harm can cause significant distress to audiences. Posting such material without prior warning is likely to lead to shock and psychological injury.

Adult Images

Adult imagery includes pornography, lewd and provocative images. This classification includes animated images, close-up photographs and images that may involve transparent or partially transparent clothing. Posting such material without suitable restrictions or warning may cause distress or anxiety.

Toxic Language

Within this section we screen all posts for insults, threats, identity attacks (sometimes referred to as trolling) and sexually explicit language. We define any of these elements individually or collectively as being toxic language within the posts we review.

How it works

How it works

1
Subject upload & Consent Request

The personal details of the end users are uploaded to the system and an automated “Consent Request” is sent out.

We do not perform any checks until the positive consent response is received from the end user.

2
Consent Received & Report Generated

Once consent is received, the Social Media Check is conducted.

Reports are generated in minutes and are automatically sent to the Requestor and the End-User for review.

3
End User Report Review & Clean-Up

Reports provide the end user with links to content considered inappropriate by the report.

The user can remove the content and then request a refresh of their report.

The second report will once again be issued to the end user and also passed back to the requestor.

What makes "Social Media Check" different?

  • Reports generated in minutes not days
  • Automated analysis, extraction and report generation
  • 100% private (no human intervention at any stage)
  • Consent obtained for Public AND Private posts
  • Secure UK-based solution (ISO 27001 compliant)
  • Fully GDPR compliant
  • End-Users can clean-up their Social Media accounts
  • Private platform option (minimum report quantities apply)
